At Destilerías Muñoz Gálvez, we firmly believe that the future of chemistry lies in embracing more sustainable and environmentally responsible practices, therefore we are proud to announce our sponsorship of the Green Chemistry Symposium, which will be held as part of the 40th Biennial Meeting of the Spanish Royal Society of Chemistry (RSEQ), taking place from 30 June to 3 July 2025 at the Bilbao Exhibition Centre.

The symposium is organised by the Specialised Group on Green Chemistry (GEQV), part of the RSEQ, and chaired by Dr Pedro Lozano Rodríguez of the University of Murcia. It will bring together leading voices in the field of green chemistry, including:

  • Dr Paul Anastas and Dr John C. Warner, widely recognised as the founding figures of green chemistry and co-authors of the renowned 12 Principles of Green Chemistry.

  • Dr Katalin Barta, Chair of the Green Chemistry Division of the European Chemical Society (EuChemS), known for her pioneering work on sustainable catalytic processes and biomass conversion.

This symposium promises to be a key platform for dialogue between academia and industry, encouraging new forms of collaboration that advance the development of cleaner, safer, and more sustainable chemistry.
