Last Tuesday, March 15th, Pablo Muñoz, Managing Director of Destilerias Muñoz Gálvez (DMG), the oldest chemical company in Murcia, received a diploma from the Faculty of Chemistry of the University of Murcia in recognition of DMG’s participation in the sponsorship of the construction of Company-University meeting spaces Green UMeeting and Green Thinking.
On the other hand, Pedro Muñoz, Factory Director of the company, made a speech on behalf of the sponsoring companies and institutions.
The opening event was attended by, among others, José Luján, Rector of the University of Murcia; Pedro Lozano, Dean of the Faculty of Chemistry, Fernando López Miras, President of the Autonomous Community of Murcia; Valle Miguélez, Counselor for Business, Employment, Universities and Spokesperson of the Autonomous Community Government; and Beatriz Miguel, Rector of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena.
These two spaces, located on the courtyards of the Faculty of Chemistry, will serve as a meeting and reflection point for university students, and they will also be open to companies wanting to carry on projects with the faculty.
